Thermomix Chocolate Panna Cotta
How stunning does this recipe look? Based on the photo, you’d be fooled into thinking it was complicated to make, but this sumptuous free recipe couldn’t be quicker or easier. This is a decadent (but not too rich) panna cotta that can be whipped up in literally less than 8 minutes, using just five simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen: cocoa, milk, cream, gelatin and sugar. What results is a silky smooth dessert that is guaranteed to impress.
The beauty of this recipe is definitely in it’s simplicity, which makes it a perfect last-minute dessert for unexpected dinner guests. And if you’re a little more organised than that, it will keep in the fridge for up to five days. The hardest part of this recipe is abstaining from eating it while it’s setting!
All panna cottas, and particularly this one, are made perfectly and easily in our dariole moulds. They slide right out when you’re ready to serve them as delightful little chocolate castles! And then the moulds can be thrown straight into the dishwasher, making the whole process super low-fuss. If you haven’t already got a set, you can purchase them in store or on our website here.
1.5 tbsp gelatin
130g raw sugar
1 tsp vanilla
350g thickened cream
Raspberries, to serve (optional)
- Place 100g milk and gelatin in a small bowl. Stir to combine and set aside.
- Place sugar in TM bowl, mill for 10 seconds, speed 9.
- Add remaining 400g milk, cocoa and vanilla, cook for 4 minutes, 70°C, speed 3.
- Add gelatin mixture, mix for 30 seconds, speed 4.
- Add cream, mix for 10 seconds, speed 3. Divide mixture evenly between 10 dariole moulds rinsed with cold water. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours prior to serving.
To serve, turn panna cottas out of moulds onto individual serving plates. Top with fresh raspberries.
Quick Tip: To assist in removing panna cottas from moulds, sit them in a bath of warm water for 5 minutes, or until the sides of the panna cotta pull away from the mould.
