If you were excited about our Yum Cha & Vietnamese cooking classes, you’re going to love what’s coming next: a Thermomix Korean cooking class with our Asian-cooking expert Tina Wong! Korean cuisine has experienced a huge boom in popularity over the last few years, and it’s little wonder why — the food packs a punch from the get-go, with so many dishes delivering a perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour and spicy in one serving. Combine that with the fact that there is a huge emphasis on fresh vegetables, and minimal use of gluten and dairy, and you have a cuisine that is perfectly suited to a super healthy modern diet. Tina will show you how to get your very own Korean Kitchen at home in this 3.5-hour class with some classic Korean recipes.

Each attendee will go home with a class-exclusive recipe booklet, which you can fill with your notes throughout the session. Many recipes will be taught with variations, so that they can be adapted for different dietary requirements. In this class we will be making (and tasting):

  • Korean dumplings

  • Kimchi

  • Steamed fish fillets and zucchini ribbons with ginger sauce

  • Sweet potato noodles and vegetable salad

  • Seafood and spring onion pancakes

  • Marinated Korean Beef

  • Cabbage salad

  • Steamed Korean rice

  • Pickled radish

  • Sweet glutinous rice balls, and

  • Many dressings and dipping sauces

As a result of this class, you will develop intermediate Thermomix skills and learn how to:

  • Steam in the Varoma

  • Experience Korean flavours and cooking techniques

  • Experiment with new ingredients

  • Shape dumplings

  • Cook with seafood

  • Pickle vegetables

  • Prepare and eat vegetables in new ways

  • Cook gluten-free dishes

  • Cook dairy-free dishes

Our guest-presenter for this class is Tina Wong, an incredibly talented and experienced cook and a Thermomix expert; she has been a Thermomix team leader and has run many Thermomix cooking classes, including alyce alexandra’s extremely popular Yum Cha and Vietnamese classes. Tina has honed her skills to bring us this sensational specialist class, and she’s ready to impart her personal experience and wisdom with Korean cooking onto you. This is one class that is guaranteed to help you impress and bring you homemade Korean food success!

Our classes are relaxed and intimate, with 24 people or less. Sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee while tasting all the delicious morsels of food being prepared in front of you. Our presenters are always open for questions, and will be teaching you many of their most useful Thermomix secrets along the way.
