How it works: the WunderSlicer is placed on the mixing bowl lid and uses the mixing knife to drive the slicing disc. Thanks to the powerful motor, the otherwise sweaty slicing process is accomplished in seconds. Simply start your machine on speed 2.5 reverse and start slicing vegetables. Full instructions are provided in the box. Do not use the product with the vegetable slicer mode on your TM6.

Please note, grating cheese with our WunderSlicer Cutter & Slicer isn't recommended by the manufacturer. However, in our opinion the mixing bowl and blade work well for grating cheese intended for melting, like on lasagne, no cutter required. While the bowl doesn't produce the same soft curls as traditional graters, it's effective for most recipes, and once it's melted you can't tell the difference! Simply chop your cheese block into large cubes and grate it in the bowl for 10 seconds, speed 8. If you want an attachment that grates cheese properly, our Slicer & Shredder for the WunderCentix will do it.

Which Thermomix machines does the WunderSlicer fit?

The WunderSlicer fits Thermomix TM6, TM5 and TM31 machines. It is not compatible with the TM7.

What can I use it for?

Whenever you would use a food processor or a julienne peeler, you would use the WunderSlicer instead, and whenever you would reach for a box grater, the WunderSlicer does the job in seconds: think röstis, fritters, hash browns and the best textured salads. I also love it for paper-thin potato for gratins and potato bakes, whisper-thin cabbage and shredded carrot for coleslaw, grated zucchini and carrot for cakes and slices, sliced apple for crumbles, cucumber for quick pickles, and onion sliced without the tears. If a recipe starts with slicing or grating, this attachment takes care of it.

What speed setting do I use?

Run your machine on speed 2.5 in reverse and feed your fruit and veg down the chute; full instructions are provided in the box. Do not use the WunderSlicer with the built-in vegetable slicer mode on the TM6.

Can I grate cheese with the WunderSlicer?

The manufacturer doesn't recommend grating cheese with the WunderSlicer. For cheese destined for melting (think lasagne), grate it right in your mixing bowl instead: chop the block into large cubes and blitz for 10 seconds on speed 8; once it's melted you can't tell the difference. And if you want an attachment that grates cheese properly, our Slicer & Shredder for the WunderCentix will do exactly that.

Where does the cut food go?

The WunderSlicer sits on top of your mixing bowl rather than inside it, and everything you slice or grate collects in its large transparent container. You can see the results instantly and know exactly when the 1.5kg chamber needs emptying.

Can it make zucchini noodles or ribbons?

Yes, with the WunderZoodler Spiralizer (sold separately), which attaches on top of the WunderSlicer for perfect thick and thin vegetable ribbons, zucchini noodles and homemade veggie crisps.
