What can I use it on?
Anywhere you'd reach for plain salt. It's brilliant on pasta, pizza, popcorn and potatoes, through salads, soups, stir-fries and scrambles, and across burgers, bolognese, Buddha bowls and brunch, from Asian to Italian.
Is this blend spicy?
No, this one's mild. You'll spot chilli in the ingredients list, but it's a very small amount and it's there for savoury depth rather than heat, so the blend doesn't taste hot. Safe to sprinkle for everyone at the table, littlest family members included.
Why was it out of stock for three years?
Our flavour blends sold out three years ago and stayed gone because no manufacturer could make them at commercial scale without adding things we won't add, like MSG and synthetic anti-caking agents. Alyce and her mum now hand-make them in small batches themselves.
Is this blend organic?
Yes, this blend is made entirely with organic ingredients. We use organic wherever the blend allows, and this one is fully organic, which costs more but is the right thing by your health, the farmers, the waterways and the bees.
Does it contain MSG?
No. We never use MSG in any of our products, including this blend. Just real ingredients, the same as you'd have in your pantry at home.
Is this gluten-free?
We don't use any gluten-containing ingredients in this blend. It's hand-made in a commercial kitchen that also handles gluten though, so we can't guarantee our blends are completely free from traces of it.
Is this dairy-free?
There's no dairy in this blend, and none of our blends contain dairy ingredients. The commercial kitchen we make them in does handle dairy though, so we can't guarantee our blends are completely free from traces of it.
Does this blend contain sesame?
There's no sesame in this blend's ingredients. Some of our other products do contain sesame though, so we can't rule out cross-contact in the making and packing of it. If you have a sesame allergy, we're sorry to say we'd recommend against buying our salt blends.
Does this blend contain soy?
Yes. This blend contains organic tamari, which is made from organic soybeans, so it isn't suitable if you're avoiding soy.
