how it's made

Our flavour blends sold out three years ago. They've been gone ever since, not because we didn't want to keep selling them, but because we couldn't find anyone who could make them at commercial scale the way they're made at home. Every meeting ended the same way: to do it at scale, we'd need to add ingredients we weren't willing to add (MSG, synthetic anti-caking agents, free-flowing additives, cheaper substitutes).

So Alyce and her mum hired a commercial kitchen and started hand-making small batches themselves. Same recipe. Same ingredients. Same care. Just more of it.

The world is better with these in it. We're so glad to finally have them back in your kitchens.

This blend is made with organic ingredients: the coconut sugar, spices, nutritional yeast, sesame and rice flour are all organic. We use organic wherever we can. It costs significantly more, but it's the right thing by you and your family's health, by the farmers, by the waterways, by the bees. We sincerely think you'll LOVE it.

What can I use it on?

Anywhere you'd reach for chicken salt. It's brilliant on chips, cauliflower, corn and chickpeas, popcorn, pretzels, potato wedges and pumpkin, and through fritters, fried rice and frittata, right up to roast veg, scrambled eggs and kale chips.

Is it really vegan?

Yes, it's completely plant-based, with all the addictive, takeaway-style flavour of regular chicken salt and none of the chicken. Vegan, because we adore chickens.

Is this blend organic?

Yes, this blend is made with organic ingredients: the coconut sugar, spices, nutritional yeast, sesame and rice flour are all organic. We use organic wherever we can, which costs more but is the right thing by your health, the farmers, the waterways and the bees.

Does it contain MSG?

No. We never use MSG in any of our products, including this blend. Just real ingredients, the same as you'd have in your pantry at home.
