how it's made

Our flavour blends sold out three years ago and have only just come back, hand-made by Alyce and her mum in a commercial kitchen: the same recipes, the same ingredients, the same care, just more of it. Instant Italian is the newest addition to the family, a brand-new blend built to sit right alongside the classics.

a note on organic ingredients

Where we can, we choose organic, and many of the ingredients in Instant Italian are: the coconut sugar, tamari, garlic, basil and thyme are all certified organic, chosen because it's the right thing by your family's health, the farmers, the waterways and the bees. A few of the other ingredients aren't organic, so unlike our other blends Instant Italian isn't a fully organic product, but it's made with the same care and the same no-nasties promise as everything we make.

What can I use it on?

Beautiful on the Italian classics like pizza, pasta, risotto and garlic bread, and even better stirred into softened butter, whisked into olive oil for dipping, scattered over a fried egg, focaccia or a caprese, or dusted over roast veg.

Is it vegan?

Yes, Instant Italian is completely plant-based: all the salty, sweet, smoky, tomatoey, cheesy flavour of a wood-fired margherita, with no dairy or animal products.

Is it organic?

Many of the ingredients are certified organic (the coconut sugar, tamari, basil, garlic and thyme), but a few aren't, so unlike our fully organic blends Instant Italian isn't an entirely organic product. It's made with the same care and the same no-nasties promise as everything we make.

Does it contain MSG?

No. We never use MSG in any of our products, including this blend. Just real ingredients, the same as you'd have in your pantry at home.
