Caprese or fresh mozzarella, a creamy risotto, roast potatoes and veg, grilled zucchini or eggplant. how it's made

Our flavour blends are hand-made by Alyce and her mum in a commercial kitchen, in small batches: the same recipes and the same care as at home, just more of it. One-Pinch Pesto is mixed and only lightly milled, so you get real flecks of basil through the salt rather than a dust.

a note on organic ingredients

Where we can, we make sure it's organic. The garlic and lemon peel in One-Pinch Pesto Salt are organic, chosen because it's the right thing by your family's health, the farmers, the waterways and the bees.

Do I use it to make pesto?

You can. Add One-Pinch Pesto Salt as the salt in your homemade pesto to really turbocharge it. But we see One-Pinch Pesto Salt as so much broader than that: it's for any time you want the flavour of pesto in a dish, straight from the pantry, with just a sprinkle.

Does it contain nuts or cheese?

One-Pinch Pesto Salt has no nuts and no cheese in the blend; the cheesy note comes from nutritional yeast. It is made in a facility that also processes tree nuts and dairy, so it isn't suitable for anyone with a severe allergy.

When do I use it?

Use One-Pinch Pesto Salt while you're cooking or as a finishing salt. It's amazing stirred into passata or any tomato-based sauce or ragu, and sprinkled over homemade pizza before it goes in the oven.

Is it vegan?

Yes, One-Pinch Pesto Salt is vegan.

Is this blend spicy?

No, One-Pinch Pesto Salt has no chilli and no heat, so it's safe for everyone at the table.

Does it contain MSG?

No. We never use MSG in any of our products, including this blend. Just real ingredients, the same as you'd have in your pantry at home.

Is this gluten-free?

We don't use any gluten-containing ingredients in this blend. It's hand-made in a commercial kitchen that also handles gluten though, so we can't guarantee our blends are completely free from traces of it.

Does this blend contain sesame?

There's no sesame in this blend's ingredients. Some of our other products do contain sesame though, so we can't rule out cross-contact in the making and packing of it. If you have a sesame allergy, we're sorry to say we'd recommend against buying our salt blends.
