Chilli Oil in the Thermomix

This brilliantly hued oil pairs perfectly with Asian dishes, but its uses certainly don’t end there! Despite the firey name, this oil is much more complex than just spicy heat, with chints of garlic, ginger, curry and citrus. Drizzle it wherever you would use a finishing splash of oil, such as on soups or pizzas (pictured) as we have done – it will instantly add flavour and excitement.

Red Asian shallots, peeled
Garlic cloves, peeled
Ginger, peeled
Red chillies
Star anise
Rice bran oil
Curry powder
Hot chilli powder (optional)
Lemon, rind only
