To extend this recipe beyond summer, roughly chop and freeze fruit when it’s at its seasonal peak and tastiest – that’s usually also when it’s cheapest, so it’s an easy one. Head to your local farmers market and a quick glance of what’s plentiful will tell you what’s at its prime.
