Simple Brothy Dumplings in the Thermomix

Simple Brothy Dumplings in the Thermomix

One of the easiest meals to whip up - this recipe has literally ONE step. Truly! You can do it, even on a night you feel you haven't got the energy to cook. You can make this one! You will need our Steaming Mat designed for the Varoma - this little accessory makes such a massive difference to your Thermomix cooking, you'll be using your Varoma more and actually cooking whole meals (not just steaming a couple of veggies). Click the link below to check it out (our website is the ONLY place our steaming mat is available!)...

Serves 2 - 3

Ingredients

1 beef stock cube, crumbled
500g frozen dumplings (homemade or purchased - I like ones with lots of ginger for this recipe)
50g tamari or soy sauce
20g black vinegar
100g water
Frozen noodles and/or Asian vegetables (optional)
Spring onions, sesame seeds and/or toasted sesame oil, to garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Fill TC bowl with 1L water. Place lid on, then steaming tray on top. Fill with vegetables and/or noodles if using. Top with upper steaming tray, then position on Varoma steaming mat. Fill with stock cube, dumplings, tamari or soy sauce, black vinegar and water (see video). Steam for 20 minutes, Varoma/steaming temperature, speed 3.

Serve sprinkled with spring onions, sesame seeds and a drizzle of toasted sesame oil. Enjoy!
