Thermomix Owners: Starting Your Day Right With High-Fibre Recipes

Hi! Let's talk about fibre. I know, I know – there wouldn't be a January where I don't crap on about fibre (pardon the pun!)! But hear me out, because getting enough fibre in your diet is genuinely one of the most important things you can do for your health, and your Thermomix makes it so ridiculously easy with it's ability to mill and puree fibrous ingredients.

Fibre keeps your digestive system happy and humming along, helps you feel full and satisfied for hours, stabilises your blood sugar so you're not on that mid-morning energy rollercoaster, and supports your gut health in ways that ripple out to your whole body. When you start your day with a fibre-rich breakfast, you're setting yourself up to feel energised and focused... not hungry and distracted.

And clearly, I'm not the only one who's been thinking about this as we start 2026! My Thermomix Super-Fibre Porridge recipe has been absolutely buzzing on Facebook and Instagram lately, which tells me this is a topic that's important to you too. So today, I'm sharing everything you need to know about this game-changing breakfast, plus a few other fibre-boosting Thermomix recipes to keep your mornings delicious and nourishing. The recipe that'll make you feel great: Super-Fibre Porridge in the Thermomix 💪

I've been making (and enjoying) this recipe for years – there wouldn't be many recipes I've made as much as this one! It's a little weird, I'll agree with you on that, but after introducing it to the family and multiple friends, people really get addicted. Because it makes you feel GREAT.

This isn't your standard oat porridge. In fact, it's grain free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and can even be made low carb and keto! The secret ingredient? Psyllium husks. They're what make this porridge thick and satisfying without any oats at all, while packing a serious fibre punch. You can find them in the health food section of your supermarket, alongside flours, nuts and seeds.

You'll feel super full and satisfied after eating this, so you can focus on everything you've got to get done. But you'll also be moving all the crap out of your system (literally!!) in the best possible way. Our whole family travels with a container of this mix, so no matter where we are and what we'll be indulging in later on, we've started the day wholesomely (and the digestion stays tip-top!).

This recipe makes a big batch of dry mix that stores beautifully in a jar in the fridge – you make it once and you're sorted for weeks! It uses pantry staples like almonds, hazelnuts, seeds, psyllium husks, chia seeds and coconut, all milled and mixed in your Thermomix in just three quick steps. Then each morning, you simply mix half a cup with boiling water, let it thicken for 5 minutes, and top with your favourite yoghurt, milk, cream or fresh fruit. Click here to access the full Super-Fibre Porridge recipe

Making your mornings even easier  ☕️

Speaking of making life easier in the kitchen, can we talk about how brilliant it is when you can use your Thermomix for even more than you thought? If you're a tea lover (or chai enthusiast!), you'll love this.

The Thermo Tea Filter turns your Thermomix into a 2.2L temperature-controlled tea pot with an in-built warming function and milk frothing capabilities. Whether it's loose leaf tea, a fruity blend with whole spices, sticky chai (perfect partner to that Super-Fibre Porridge!), or fresh mint leaves from the garden, you simply load it into the Tea Filter chamber and insert it into your TM bowl.

Rather than brewing everything with boiling water, you can prepare special blends at the optimal temperature – green tea at 80 degrees, white tea at 75 degrees, oolong at 90 degrees. And while your tea brews, your Thermomix keeps it at the perfect temperature rather than letting it cool down. Come back for a second cup an hour later? Just heat it up for a couple of minutes. Want a frothy chai? Add milk, heat if desired, and froth for 30 seconds. Easy!

But there's more: use it for homemade stocks (fill with herbs and spices for a beautiful pho!), mulled wines and ciders with precise temperature control, or even catching pips when juicing citrus. Compatible with TM6, TM5 and TM31 models. One product, so many uses! Click here to shop the Thermo Tea Filter
