Hi, If you’ve got people coming over (or you’re on “bring drinks” duty), a bottle of wine is always a great idea (and honestly, it doesn’t get easier than twist, pour, done) - but a cocktail really levels up the celebration, and saves you a stack of money when you make it at home. When it comes to entertaining, I’m all about anything homemade that keeps you out of the kitchen and maximises the fun!
And this is where make-ahead drinks shine: get it done early, pop it in the fridge, then you’re just pouring and clinking glasses when your guests arrive. A good “make-ahead” drink is basically a hosting love language. So this week’s free recipe for your Thermomix is a Cosmopolitan Cocktail, party-batch style… and yes, this is your sign to host a cocktail catch-up with your besties.
Cosmopolitan Cocktail in the Thermomix 🍸
This is a proper party-batch Cosmo made in your Thermomix, and the best bit is you can do the “annoying” part (juicing limes) without standing at the bench forever (if you’ve got our Citrus Juicer Attachment for your Thermomix!). You juice straight into the Thermomix bowl, add the rest, mix… and you’re done.
There aren’t that many cocktails you can make ahead and simply pour when ready to serve, but this one is tried-and-tested straight from the fridge (it’s a hard job but someone’s gotta do it!). Click here for the free recipe
Make juicing a 30-second job 🍋
If you’re making this Cosmo, the one thing that makes it ridiculously fast is the WunderJuicer Thermo Citrus Juicer attachment. It harnesses the motor of your Thermomix and turns it into an electric citrus juicer, so you can juice limes (or a whole bag of oranges) in minutes.
It’s made in Germany and compatible with TM6, TM5 & TM31. Click here to shop the Citrus Juicer Attachment
What to look for when shopping for citrus 🍊
If you’re grabbing limes for the Cosmo (or lemons/oranges for anything else), here’s how to pick the juicy ones:
-
Go by weight: choose fruit that feels heavy for its size (more juice inside).
-
Give it a gentle squeeze: you want a little “give” (especially with limes and lemons), not rock-hard.
-
Check the skin: smooth, glossy skin is usually a good sign; avoid fruit with lots of soft spots or wrinkling.
-
Smell it: if it smells like citrus, it’ll taste like citrus.
-
Buy a few extra: citrus lasts well in the fridge, and extra lime/lemon is never a problem in the kitchen. Sometimes all a recipe needs is a little citrus squeeze to lift the flavour!
Frozen Espresso Martini
This one is creamy, frothy, and you can prep the frozen element ahead so you’re basically future-you’s favourite person. Click here for the free recipe
Mojitos on a Stick
This is for the people who want to do cocktail duty in advance and avoid washing martini glasses. Freeze your cocktails and pull them out when guests arrive—chaotic genius energy. Click here for the free recipe
Frozen Chocolae Margarita
If you love a marg but also love dessert (same), this one is for you. It’s icy, chocolatey, and such a fun one to batch up for a warm night with friends. Click here for the free recipe

Cheers to easy entertaining (and actually enjoying your own party). Make it ahead, pop it in the fridge, and pour something fancy in seconds when the doorbell rings. 💕
