Flavour Bomb Salts · New Arrivals
Hand-made seasoning blends for dinners you're proud to put on the table.
What are Alyce's Flavour Bomb Salts, and how do you use them? They're hand-made seasoning salt blends, made in small batches with real ingredients and no added MSG, and the rule is simple: wherever you'd reach for plain salt, reach for one of these instead. Cook something simple, sprinkle generously, taste.
We're deep into winter here, and if your garden is anything like ours it's down to its steady winter workers: silverbeet, kale, hardy herbs and the citrus hanging on like fairy lights. Winter is when I'm most grateful for anything that makes real food taste wonderful with almost no effort, because a dark 5:30pm does not inspire culinary ambition in anyone.
Which is why I want to hand over my winter shortcut: my Flavour Bomb Salts. The range has been quietly growing on our shelves, and it's high time for a proper introduction. If dinner has been feeling a little beige this winter, this post is for you. No new skills, no long recipes, just better food, faster... keeping a little lineup of flavour bombs within arm's reach in the kitchen, so simple home-cooked food tastes delicious every single night. That's the life these little packets buy you: dinner stops being a nightly negotiation and becomes the easiest good decision of the day.

Meet No-Bacon Bacon Salt
Say hello to the newest member of the family: smoky, salty and seriously savoury. No-Bacon Bacon Salt is all the smoky hit of crispy bacon, hold the bacon, the nitrates and the fat, completely plant-based with a moreish, chorizo-like depth. Scatter it over scrambled eggs, mac and cheese or a Caesar salad. Anywhere you'd usually reach for pork, this little packet does the job.
The part nobody talks about: because there's no bacon fat, there's no spitting pan and no scrubbing splatter off the stovetop afterwards. That Sunday-morning-fry-up flavour, no frying pan required... just the flavour, minus the clean-up.
Like every blend in the family, it's hand-made by Mum and me in small batches, with real ingredients and no added MSG.
Quietly brilliant
The two you might have missed
Italy without the effort: all the flavour of a proper wood-fired margherita (sweet, smoky, tomatoey, cheesy) in a single sprinkle. Brilliant on pizza, roast veg and a toasted cheese sandwich, or keep it lazy: plain pasta, a little butter, a good sprinkle. It's the best hangover cure we know.
Rich, slow-cooked depth without the slow cooking. One stir through anything tomato-based (a midweek pasta sauce, a soup, a stew) and it tastes like it simmered away all afternoon. It's also my not-so-secret weapon on smashed avo and toast.
Zero food waste
Perfect salt, wonky label
Now for something a bit fun. Every packet of our salt is hand-packed and hand-labelled, and every now and then a label goes on wonky, or one of us loses a fight with the heat sealer. The packaging ends up not quite right, but the salt inside is absolutely perfect: same ingredients, same big flavour, same everything. We hate waste in this business, but food waste offends us the most, and our family has officially fallen behind on eating through the wonky packets at home.
So here's our solution: Lucky Dip Salt. You'll get one perfect 100g packet from the wonky-label bin, and the flavour is a genuine mystery: it could be any blend from the range, past, present or brand new. No swaps, no requests, no exceptions... it's whatever the bin gods provide. Stock is limited and wonderfully irregular, because thankfully we don't damage packaging on purpose. All the honest print is on the product page.
And while we're talking labels, a little tip for the devoted: every blend also comes in a 400g bulk bag, and we tuck a matching sticker into each one, the same design as the label on the bag. Pop it on your prettiest jar, fill it up, and refill it forever. Your favourite blend earns a permanent home on the kitchen bench, and it looks the part too.
The golden rule
Which one should you start with?
The golden rule that ties the whole range together: wherever you'd reach for plain salt, reach for one of these instead. Eggs, rice, pasta, soups, roasts, salads, even avo on toast. If it's savoury, it works. Can't choose? Everyone starts with The Original Flavour Bomb Salt, the big savoury all-rounder that started it all, then works through the family from there. (No-Chicken Chicken Salt was made for chips, wedges and roast potatoes... then stir a little through plain white rice. Sounds odd, tastes unreal.)
Don't just take my word for it. Elizabeth says, "Made some roast potatoes and sprinkled this on top and husband commented 'wow these potatoes you made are delicious'... had to tell him it wasn't my cooking expertise but this delicious salt"
