Hi, lately I’ve been craving dinners that are fresh and nourishing, but still have that “ooo this is delicious” factor… all without a sink full of dishes (because no thanks). It’s balance, but no rabbit food. So that’s exactly what I’ve been working on, and I’m thrilled to bring you this new free recipe! You’ll have it on the table in less than 30 minutes - enjoy.
New free recipe: Asian-Style Salmon Bowl in the Thermomix
This salmon bowl is my idea of the perfect weeknight meal – tender, melt-in-your-mouth salmon glazed with a honey-soy-ginger sauce, fluffy sushi rice and plenty of fresh lightly-pickled veggies for crunch and tang. It's the kind of meal that looks and feels impressive but is actually oh-so-simple to throw together.
Everything cooks together in your Thermomix in one hit – rice steaming away in the bowl while the salmon poaches gently above in its gorgeous marinade.
Top it all with your favourite garnishes (I'm obsessed with crispy chilli oil right now), and you've got yourself a bowl that's fresh, flavoursome, and so satisfying. Not to mention a generous dose of veggies too! (Click here for free recipe)
The accessory that transforms your Varoma: our Silicone Steaming Mat
Without our Silicone Steaming Mat for Varoma, this salmon bowl simply wouldn’t work in your Thermomix.
It holds the salmon (and all that gorgeous marinade) safely in place while still letting the steam circulate, so you get tender, moist fish and loads of flavour, without anything falling through or breaking up.
Our Steaming Mat is the difference between “steaming a couple of bland veggies” and actually cooking an entire meal in your Varoma (sauce and all!). It’s the healthy cooking power of steam, with the full injection of flavour.
And it’s a dream to wash up — straight into the dishwasher and you’re done. The rest of the Thermomix is wet, but not dirty. (Click here to shop)

Once you start cooking full meals (sauce and all) in the Varoma, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
It’s brilliant for anything delicate (like fish or tofu), and also for the nights you want something cosy and satisfying with next-to-no effort.
